Flat screen televisions are already a given in this day and age, and if you have a flat screen TV for your business, whether it’s for a conference or meeting room or your reception area, it’s important to make sure that it is positioned correctly. For this, you have two basic options: to either place it on a TV stand or mount it on the wall. Both have their merits, but in many cases, having your TV mounted on the wall actually makes more sense. Why is that? Here are the main reasons why it’s better to have your flat screen television mounted on the wall.
A brilliant angle for viewing
Having a TV mounted on the wall makes for better viewing pleasure, as you can place it at a higher angle. This is especially true if your flat screen television is of the larger variety or if you are planning to place it in a bigger room or area. This way, everyone can have a view of the television and the viewers’ angle wouldn’t be limited. For instance, if you have a 55-inch screen for your flat TV, it would be better to have it placed at the optimum viewing distance of around 15 feet. If your TV is wall-mounted, it can be easily viewed from different points in the room.
Say goodbye to visibility problems
Often, placing a television on a simple stand can make for uncomfortable viewing, simply because the stand may be too close to the viewers or too low. Additionally, with a television placed on a stand, the television can be easily obstructed when people are passing by, which results in visibility issues. Keep in mind, however, that you have to make sure that your wall-mounted TV is at the right position – not too high nor too low, with viewers having to crane their necks to watch the TV or viewers getting a headache because the TV is placed too near the ground.
Say hello to extra space
This is perhaps the greatest benefit of mounting your TV on the wall – you can save lots of space. With a TV wall mount, you can have the extra space for other pieces of furniture, and your television will no longer be in the way. This is especially useful for televisions placed in reception areas or conference and meeting rooms, where space can be quite limited.
What you should keep in mind
Aside from making sure that the TV is mounted in the right position and viewing angle, you also have to make sure that it is mounted properly in regards to the connected cables and wall attachments. If you need help from professionals, don’t hesitate to ask for it. The important thing is to have your television safely and securely mounted on the wall so you can enjoy it for years and years to come.
