Yesterday I had a pleasure of browsing the galleries at the wonderfully chill & air-conditioned, Metropolitan Museum of Art. I took a bunch of badly lit, reflective, low quality iphone pics of my favorites. Didn’t need to bother because apparently most everything displayed at the Met is also available on their website! I’ve entered into the mesmerizing world of ropes & knots! And now spending too much time and money at Tents & Trails staring and purchasing multi-colored climbing ropes. Take time and drool with me. I’m attempting the Turk’s Head knot today after mastering the Double Carrick knot yesterday. Check out Grog’s Animated Knots for helpful tutorials. My knot journey started with the hand lettered book, KNOTS – useful & ornamental by George Russell Shaw.

Feast the eyes on this odd assortment of German household objects surrounded in shades of cornflower blue. Officially my new favorite color—if anyone is asking.
