Yesterday I took a trip to the New York Public Library – Picture Collection. The Picture Collection is a room full of folders stuffed with images that have been torn from books and mounted on white paper. (you can see some shelves in the background) Almost every subject imaginable is available for viewing. It’s like a giant, walk-in inspiration archive. Get your hands dirty, touch those images! I pulled my default search term from the shelves – WEAVING – & discovered looms from all over the world. Powerful stuff. I really want to become an apprentice weaver in Uruguay, or Mexico. So much to learn!
