You used to be able to order film reels (real prints) from the NFB. Living in a small town with no theater we would order them and show them at the local coffee shop. We would order films from the catalogue based on description and this was a film that was ordered from a brief description, I couldn’t pick my jaw off the ground when it played.

@Bree, No I love Leonard! I mean, I am just not a fanatical fan. Though some people have asked me about my tattoo – if it’s a ‘Leonard Cohen tattoo’ the image is on the back of his album..http://www.flickr.com/photos/epiclecticsback/3709487770/ which I had no clue at the time I got it. I found it in a Mexican art calendar. Now I might just say it is a Leonard Cohen tattoo.

The NFB!! A Canadian institution! Grew up with those short films, sometimes they would show them on the CBC tv channel (like BBC but the Canadian version)…lots of beautiful animation and funny stop-motion stuff I remember.

And for real you don’t love Leonard?? Oh no! Please reconsider!
