The above images are Photos, Postcards and Ephemera From the Home of John Rininger, Chicago, IL discovered via PUBLIC COLLECTORS – my new favorite blog/project/library. John Rininger was an artist, vibrant thinker and lover of the photocopy machine. He died in his apartment at the age of 45. Marc Fischer aka. PUBLIC COLLECTORS tells his story of meeting John and how he happened upon boxes of John’s image collections.
Notes : Public Collectors is founded upon the concern that there are many types of cultural artifacts that public libraries, museums and other institutions and archives either do not collect or do not make freely accessible.
Visit PUBLIC COLLECTORS main page here.
